PROCOM is dedicated to the eradication of poverty and one of the main ways is through clean water.
Water Treatment Facility: PROCOM is currently operating one of the largest water treatment and rural distribution networks in the world call the Mayaga Treatment Facility. PROCOM has shown their dedication to quality by treating water above international standards. The Mayaga system takes a reservoir of water and uses modern treatement techniques to produce drinking water. Initially serving 800,000 Rwandans in one of the driest places in Rwanda, Mayaga now pipes out clean water to over one million people in three districts. These people traditionally had months without water but with this new type of water system they have access to clean water all year round. This is just the first step in eradicating poverty though water.
Boreholes: PROCOM has started a new water department in 2012 to address the scarcity of water in the Eastern Provience. PROCOM looks for communities without sufficient or clean water sources and constructs a community well. Each well typically serves a community of over 1,000 Rwandans.
